Our Story

This is Dutch Monkey

Dutch Monkey Doughnuts was one of five businesses (of 50,000 entries) to win American Express and Facebook's Big Break for Small Business competition in 2012, and won the first episode of Food Network's Doughnut Showdown in 2013.
Martin Burge is a Culinary Institute of America trained chef, having spent the majority of his career in the New York City kitchens of Gotham Bar and Grill, Fresh, and Vento Trattoria, culminating his time in NYC with two years as Executive Chef at the Metropolitan Opera House.
Arpana Satyu-Burge graduated from the French Culinary Institute's Pastry Arts and International Bread Baking programs before working at NYC's Mesa Grill, Craft, Ilo, and Fiamma Osteria.  She also spent two years as Executive Pastry Chef at the Metropolitan Opera House.
After moving to the Atlanta area, they opened Dutch Monkey Doughnuts in 2009, to work together and continue their love of cooking.
